Emergence Vol. 3

Emergence is an online magazine which publishes an annual print edition and is devoted to ecology and culture. 

Based in California, the makers have experienced first hand the dire consequences of climate change, and as well as the 'apocalyptic reality' of the pandemic. Volume 3: living with the Unknown explores what the future reality looks like through four themes: Initiation, Ashes, Roots and Futures. 

Expect a blend of light and dark, from changing Arctic landscapes to the kinship among trees. Stories are told in many different ways with a collection of essays, poems, photostories and audiovisual content accessible through QR codes at the beginning of each section.
