We are Pics & Ink - a new way of buying interesting and unusual magazines, the type most people can’t find in their local newsagent.
The internet is great, it means we can access pretty much anything from pretty much anywhere. Magazines have yet to benefit from this. We aren’t about reading magazines online because we really like the touch, smell and beauty of great paper.
So let us be your guide through the world of independent magazines. We’ll tell you about them, show you a few pages, then we will pack them up very carefully and post them to your door.
In Volume Two of Table we focus on an ingredient that many of us could not cook without -the Lemon.
This issue is packed full of double the number of recipes in Volume One, giving you even more to try in your own home kitchen.
We are especially proud of our photo series by Creative Director, Ola O Smit, who shares her travel polaroids with recipe developer Ellie Mulligan, to create recipes based off of these images. Photographer Sam Harris takes us to the shores of Indonesia while back in London our team chats with the people behind the restaurant Jolene.
In this issue we are also introducing a new story titled ‘In the Kitchen with…’where a home cook invites us into their kitchen to cook up one of their favourite dishes.
In this inaugural edition we visit cookbook author, Rosie Birkettat her home in Deal where she shares a recipe from her latest cookbook, The Joyful Home Cook.
