Trebuchet

Trebuchet Issue 14

Trebuchet is a biannual contemporary art magazine which dives deep into artists and their work to explain why it's good, rather than just tell you that it is.

Issue 14: Ecology.

"Today we have an unparalleled ability to affect the planet for good or ill and processing this relationship is one of the primary concerns of contemporary culture."  editor, Sean Keenan

This issue explores the idea of ecology through very different artists and artforms. They look at sculptors like Barbara Hepworth, who believed surroundings shape the meaning of the art, the ecology of photography where meaning is shaped by the composition and by the viewer, the huge soil installations of Delcy Morelos that force viewers to confront our relationship with the earth and the green-dyed rivers of Nicolás García Uriburu and whether art can make us care.
