Abitare

Abitare 654

Abitare is a monthly Italian magazine with a global outlook on art, architecture and design.

What grabbed us about this issue…

This issue takes on a green point of view, exploring eco-friendly and sustainable spaces across the world. We kept coming back to this month’s cover story about a climate adaptable home in New Zealand inspired by traditional, rural huts. If you’re looking for something more urban, there’s a feature showcasing how Asian cityscapes are using ‘elevated nature’ to make spaces greener. Or, if experimental architecture is your thing, there’s a piece on two architects based in Mexico City that you might enjoy.

Who’s Abitare for?

Abitare looks towards new ideas and innovations in the design world. With technical case studies and more specialist language, it’s not the easiest entry point, but it offers a forward-thinking take on modern architecture. You can tell it’s proud of its Italian roots, with original text presented alongside English translations, set against photographs of unusual buildings and art projects from around the world. It’s one for inventive designers looking to push their ideas further.
