Bobbety

Bobbety Issue 6

Published quarterly, Bobbety is an educational children's magazine from the United States.

What grabbed us about this issue…

This issue is built around roller coasters, which turns out to be a good way into both physics and history at once. We enjoyed the way it uses something familiar to explain bigger ideas about motion and forces. The historical side is worth a look too, tracing how the rides we recognise today actually came about. There's also a feature about ice creams and fairground treats that's worth a look.

Who's Bobbety for?

Bobbety is a bright magazine that works well both at home and in the classroom. We think this would suit children aged 5-10. It's driven by curiosity, with illustrations and activities covering science, history and culture. It's one to reach for when you want to learn something new.
