Enki Volume 43
Enki is a monthly design and architecture magazine with a focus on sustainability, showcasing modern designers and architects from around the world.
What grabbed us about this issue…
Volume 43 is the bamboo issue and the cover earns the tagline immediately. Ibuku’s structures emerging from the Balinese jungle make a convincing case that bamboo is one of the most serious materials in contemporary architecture. We enjoyed how the issue builds that argument across the whole issue rather than a single feature. If you’re interested in what sustainable building can look like at its most ambitious, this is the volume to find.
Who’s Enki for?
With its minimalist design and neutral colour palette, Enki is one to reach for when you want to ease into the world of design and architecture. It’s better suited to those with an existing interest in modern design, particularly if you’re looking to bring elements of the seasons and natural materials into your home. Whether you flick through with a cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon or read it cover to cover, it’s one to pick up when you’re in the mood for something calm and considered.
