Friends on the Shelf

Friends on the Shelf Issue 3

Published biannually,Friends on the Shelfis a collection of original, true-life short stories from both amateur and established writers.

What grabbed us about this issue…

This issue brings together a mix of light-hearted and heavier stories from both new and contributing writers. We enjoyed Dan Crawford’s story of how he almost ran over future Australian Prime Minister, Bob Hawke. There’s a marvellously titled ‘Confessions of a Reluctant Nudist’ that’s worth a read. Or, if you’re looking for a bit more depth, you might enjoy a piece following memories of growing up in Soviet Ukraine.

Who’s Friends on the Shelf for?

Inspired by the stories we tell at dinner parties,Friends on the Shelf feels more like a conversation with a trusted friend than a publication. This would suit you if you enjoy reading reflective pieces and are open to unique, original storytelling. Whether you devour it in one go on a relaxed Sunday afternoon, or dip in and out at your leisure, it’s the kind of magazine that rewards slow reading and quiet moments.
