Huck Issue 84
Huck is a bi-annual magazine with a fresh and modern perspective on topics of sport, music and culture. It features radical people with radical ideas and a diverse range of stories from subcultures from around the world, proudly documenting the undocumented.
What grabbed us about this issue...
One story we enjoyed in the second 20th anniversary issue of the year, was 'Make Space for Girls'. This is an eye-opening read about a charity who build parks with teenage girls in mind after realising that parks across the UK are dominated by 80-90% teenage boys. We learnt about how design differs when different genders in mind and how girls are often sidelined in these public spaces. Elsewhere in this issue, learn how bush-craft can benefit you in modern day, meet an off-the-grid reggae artist building a solar-powered recording studio in Jamaica as well as a global skateboarding crew who are reshaping what muslim sisterhood means.
Who's Huck for?
For the days when you fancy something different Huck is here to surprise you. With detailed journalism on the most unexpected and interesting topics, it is an entertaining read for open-minded people who appreciate deep and rebellious story-telling. And if you like your mag to be as interesting in design as it is in content, Huck's bold photography and graphic design makes it an even more exciting read.
