The Idler

Idler Issue 111

Idleris a bi-monthly magazine full of fun and fulfilling journalism. Inside you'll find a mixture of interviews and essays on everything from history to art.

What grabbed us about this issue...

There is lots to get thinking about in this issue. We enjoyed Guy Standing's take on how our schools need a rethink as he looks at what the Ancient Athenians were doing right and how we can learn from them. Or if you a fancy a quick funny read, we loved Arthur Smith's bittersweet "Mother of Invention" as he quotes some of his mother's unintentional but hilarious one-liners that were brought out by her dementia.
