The Idler

Idler Issue 112

Idleris a bi-monthly magazine full of fun and fulfilling journalism. Inside you'll find a mixture of interviews and essays on everything from history to art.

What grabbed us about this issue...

There's a broad array of topics in this month's issue, from Duolingo to Clowns. We enjoyed the essay on the 'factory girls' of 1823 who found the time in their busy working lives to produce their own magazine and start one of the first labour movements in history. There's also an interesting philosophy piece about why idling is a good thing and a musical essay comparing Handel and Hendrix.

Who is Idler for?

Idler dedicates itself to slow journalism making it a great mag for those who want to enjoy some quality reading time. Its content is clever, quirky and enjoyable and provides a welcome break from scrolling the never ending digital algorithm. With an eclectic selection of articles, there is something for everyone to enjoy and its writing style is welcoming and unpretentious.
