What grabbed us about this issue...
This issue of Pit is centered around television but we appreciate their creative take on the topic. Instead of bringing you lists of food from different TV shows Pit has broader horizons covering things like the fake food industry and Europe's 70s butter surplus. We enjoyed the short essay 'Homer's Donut Odyssey' which looks at food in the iconic cartoon The Simpsons and 'Dystopian Dining' in Apple TVs Pluribus and it's philosophy on cannibalism. We also loved how at the back there are some yummy recipes for your next TV dinner.
Who is Pit for?
Pit is a playful magazine that isn't afraid to experiment. It's for people who want to read something a little unexpected. Pit believe that food should be fun and so they make sure their magazine is fun too, mixing photography and long-form writing like ingredients in a recipe to whip up a read that is deliciously exciting. It's a great read to turn to as an alternative form of evening entertainment.
