Positive News #127

Rooted in solutions, Positive News is a quarterly current affairs magazine that focuses on what’s being done, rather than just what’s going wrong.

What grabbed us about this issue…

This issue is based on the idea that 'tomorrow takes time', with journalism centred around projects taking the long view. There's a focus on the people taking action to preserve and share things with future generations - we particularly enjoyed learning about a vaulted seed-bank tucked away in the Norwegian Arctic. For a lighter read, you might like hearing about the Brighton Dad's finding community in hairstyling. There's also a feature following the women continuing to fight for education under Taliban rule.

Who’s Positive News for?

Positive News is one to reach for when you want to stay informed without feeling overwhelmed. It brings together stories focused on social and environmental change, highlighting the people and ideas behind them. It’s the kind of magazine you might pick up when you’ve got a bit of time to yourself and want a more balanced view of what’s going on.
