Translator Issue 3

Translator  collates news stories and journalism from around the world that would otherwise not be available to read in English.

What grabbed us about this issue…

The photo essay on the history and changing landscape of the Gardens of Babur in Kabul caught our eye. We were interested to see familiar themes such as climate change and public transport reported through different countries' perspectives, alongside more personal stories from local people like Kyoto tour guide Michiko.

Who’s Translator  for?

This would suit you if you're curious about what the rest of the world is talking about. Articles are translated into English from international journalism, with short notes in the margins of each piece to help put things into context. The shorter, more local news stories in Street Talk offer a good place to start reading.
