We are Pics & Ink - a new way of buying interesting and unusual magazines, the type most people can’t find in their local newsagent.
The internet is great, it means we can access pretty much anything from pretty much anywhere. Magazines have yet to benefit from this. We aren’t about reading magazines online because we really like the touch, smell and beauty of great paper.
So let us be your guide through the world of independent magazines. We’ll tell you about them, show you a few pages, then we will pack them up very carefully and post them to your door.
As ever, we’ve gathered together a really diverse range of health articles to inspire you, from IBS and the menopause, to the magic of magnesium and immune boosting wild berries. Our wonderful columnists are back again too, with Prune Harris providing a fascinating insight into the energy of food as she sees it, and Jo Emerson, who is making a welcome return by sharing her personal take on spirituality.
Food always features strongly in our house, and over the years we’ve collected, tweaked and perfected quite a number of favourite Christmas recipes, and in this issue, we’re pleased to share a few of them with you. We’re also excited to feature delicious autumn/winter recipes from a very talented bunch of food contributors. You’ll find meat-free meals showcasing pulses, learn new ways to cook with the fabulous and versatile cauliflower, and discover recipes from Amanda Haas’ beautiful new book, The Vibrant Life.
And finally, we are delighted to feature two wonderful food producers in this issue, Clive’s Pies and Pertwood Farm. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them and hearing all about their commitment not only to producing top quality food, but to protecting and actively nurturing their local environment too.
