Meet the Mag...Paranting

  • 2 min read

It’s weird to have someone round your house who you’ve never met, isn’t it? What will you talk about? Will you get on? Well, to help you break the ice with the mags on our shelves, we started our Meet the Mag series and next up is new mag on the block, Paranting, a monthly lifestyle mag for parents.

So read on to find out what makes it tick…

10 Questions with Paranting Magazine

Hello, Paranting! Diving straight in, what’s your perfect Sunday?

A lazy one—laying in bed with silk PJs, drinking freshly brewed coffee, reading newspapers and independent magazines and cuddling up, quietly, with the family and dogs.

Of course, this is *not* what a Sunday looks like for parents.

We’re going to explore “the reality of a lazy Sunday” in Issue #3.

If you were a dog breed…?

A mix of everything, with a glossy coat.

Haha, I see what you did there. Ok. Who’d be at your fantasy dinner party?

A personal chef to do all the cooking. Parents are either cooking or cleaning; at least this dinner party would give us a chance to talk about the things that we love (apart from our kids).

What’s worth fighting for?

Equality, a life out of poverty and universal childcare.

What do you sing at karaoke?

“At Last…” by Aretha Franklin or “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.

Oo, classics. What would you spend £100 on?

Plants, dogs, leggings, vintage clothes, paint sample pots… pretty sure we could make £100 stretch that far without going to Primark.

What should everyone try once?

Writing a column on BDSM… [Pics & Ink note! If you want to read it, it’s in the back of every issue!]

What’s always on your mind?

Childcare, money and quick meals. Oh, and when we’re next asleep.

What’s your favourite smell?

Coffee. Give us all the coffee.

Haha. How would you fare in a zombie apocalypse?

Stressed out parents, pumped up on coffee and angry at the government? I feel we’d do well.

I think you would, too! Thank you Paranting!
