Cocoa & Jasmine is an annual print magazine made in India which explores the global south. Part travel journal, part cultural documentary, Cocoa & Jasmine seeks out makers, traditional textiles, architecture and design communities that bring places to life.
In issue 5, they travel the King's Highway, an ancient travel route from Cairo to Syria, explore three cities of Uzbekistan: Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand through their architecture, they go in search of Dubai's creative arts hub and visit cultural heritage projects in Sharjah that are protecting and nurturing traditional crafts and folk art.
The cover illustration and design is inspired by the places and crafts inside the issue.
