Enki Volume 64

Enki is a monthly design and architecture magazine with a focus on sustainability, showcasing modern designers and architects from around the world.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Volume 64 opens in the forest with Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados’ modern masterpiece on the cover. We enjoyed the Queensland cabin on stilts alongside it. A geometrically complex structure that leaves its interior deliberately exposed is a particular kind of essentialism. If you’re interested in the question of remodelling versus rebuilding, Charlie Luxton Design’s assessment of a 1960s bungalow gives the issue a more practical thread. It’s a decision most homeowners face and rarely see addressed this directly.

Who’s Enkifor?

With its minimalist design and neutral colour palette,Enkiis one to reach for when you want to ease into the world of design and architecture. It’s better suited to those with an existing interest in modern design, particularly if you’re looking to bring elements of the seasons and natural materials into your home. Whether you flick through with a cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon or read it cover to cover, it’s one to pick up when you’re in the mood for something calm and considered.
