Errant Journal

Errant Journal #6

Errant Journal is a political magazine from Amsterdam, using contemporary art, visual culture and critical theory to explore the world.

What grabbed us about this issue…

This issue looks at debt and the idea that it is not natural, inevitable or rational. We enjoyed a discussion around debts influence on language and shame. Or, if you're interested in Errant's treatment of debt as a force of geopolitical power. It's one to read when you have a little bit of time and want to think deeply outside of. the Western neo-liberal way.

Who’s Errant Journalfor?

Errant Journalexists to challenge the idea that the world is transparent and easily explainable. It's not the easiest entry point, with an academic tone that rewards slow, focused reading. It's one to reach for when you're in the mood to think critically and sit with perspectives that aren't necessarily mainstream. Whether you dip into a specific essay or read it cover to cover, this one has a tendency to stay with you.
