Launched in 1991, Frieze is a magazine of contemporary arts and culture with a permanent gallery space in London and art fairs in London, New York, L.A and Seoul. Each issue features profiles and reportage on art and artists, exhibition reviews and cultural news from around the world.

The June/July/August issue offrieze is dedicated to the Mediterranean — its histories, ecologies, and the artists shaped by its shifting shores. Renato Leotta offers a poetic view of Sicily, capturing the island’s rhythms through land, light, and memory. From recipes steeped in generations to the enduring pull of the sea, contributors reflect on the region as a space of migration, myth, and intimacy.
