Gutter

Gutter No. 34

Published twice a year, Gutter is an award-winning printed journal for exceptional new writing from contributors living in Scotland and around the world.

What grabbed us about this issue…

We enjoyed prose by Eley Williams, exploring the changing nature of father-son relationships. There’s an interview with journalist and author Gabriella Bennet that’s worth a look. And for a shorter read, you might like dipping into poetry by Robin Robertson.

Who’s Gutter for?

Gutteris to reach for when you’re looking for a mix of traditional literary fiction, genre fiction, poetry, and personal essays in one sitting. It’s proudly Scottish, with diverse content and contributors. Not all pieces are conventional, it would suit you if you like to step out of your comfort zone and delve into the unexpected.
