Interview

Interview #534

Interview is an American magazine founded in late 1969 by artist Andy Warhol and British journalist John Wilcock. The magazine, nicknamed "The Crystal Ball of Pop", features interviews with celebrities, artists, musicians, and creative thinker.

What grabbed us about this issue...

LaKeith Stanfield takes the cover of this Winter 2020 issue, in conversation with Idris Elba about his role in Judas and the Black Messiah, which he describes as the hardest he’s ever played. We kept coming back to a rare exchange with Joan Didion, who answers questions drawn from the writings of Andy Warhol. If you’re a comedy fan, you might enjoy Maya Rudolph fielding questions from 26 of her famous friends and admirers, which is just as fun as it sounds.

Who is Interview for?

Interview is an exciting read filled with insights from actors, directors and artists as they talk to one another. The interviews are friendly and full of personality, and feel like conversations between friends. But they are still very insightful, discussing topics of art, film, music and general creativity. If you enjoy chatty, casual reading, as well as keeping up with popular culture, this is one for you.
