New Philosopher 33 Identity

Identity

New Philosopher is an independent publication devoted to exploring philosophical ideas from consumerism, to happiness, to the war on your mind. Each issue brings you perspectives from past and present thinkers on ways to live a more fulfilling life.

Issue 33 is dedicated to 'the splendid mess of personal identity.' Inside you'll find musings and thoughts on identity in light of the modern world - social identities in this age of social media, digital identities, now that we are walking, talking piles of data, and the inability to forget, now that everything is recorded and 'lives forever.'

They also look at racial identity in the US, and there's extracts from Jekyll and Hyde and David Hume's 'A Treatise of Human Nature.'
