Orlando

Orlando No.4

Orlando is a huge, sumptuous magazine from Italy, celebrating literature, art, culture, music and anything that inspires and delights be that artisan Parisian perfumeries or classic line-drawings of Pinocchio.

The magazine is also constructed like a hotel. As you travel from the restaurant, to the spa, the hotel rooms and even the garage, you'll meet different hotel 'guests' from contemporary artists, designers, musicians and actors, to winemakers and artisans.

From the publisher:

'This issue is guided by the theme of Surrealism, of trompe l’oeil, of illusion and trickery in a wide and diverse range of cultural disciplines.

The novel that guided us throughout the drafting of Orlando’s fourth issue is Lewis Carrol’s masterpieces, “Alice In Wonderland” and “Through the Looking-Glass”...

Among the personalities interviewed in the current issue: the young Swiss chef Marie Robert, the British artist Fiona Banner, the designer Barnaba Fornasetti, the provocative Maurizio Cattelan, the young and talented illustrator Fee Greening, the designer and constructor Tomaso Buzzi and so many others.'
