This issue is built around music. We enjoyed the feature on the science behind sound waves - it makes an abstract topic feel approachable without talking down to younger readers. There's also a tour of instruments from around the world that's worth a look if you've got a child starting to show curiosity about music from different cultures.

Who's Bobbety for?

Bobbety is a bright magazine that works well both at home and in the classroom. We think this would suit children aged 5-10. It's driven by curiosity, with illustrations and activities covering science, history and culture. It's one to reach for when you want to learn something new.
