Freelancer

Freelancer Issue Ten

Funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2021,Freelancer is a quarterly business and lifestyle magazine for freelance workers.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Issue 10 is the Making Big Switches issue and dealing with grief as a freelancer is the piece that earns its place most quietly. It’s a subject most business-facing magazines sidestep entirely. We also enjoyed the feature on separating career and identity. For freelancers, the two tend to blur in ways that are worth unpicking. The real-life stories of a vintage ice cream seller and a wedding photographer give the issue its warmest moments alongside the more reflective pieces.

Who’s Freelancer for?

With a mix of stories, interviews and practical advice on marketing, finance, productivity and mindset,Freelanceris one for those looking to build a more sustainable, less conventional way of working. There’s a real sense of participation throughout, with space to make notes, fold pages and return to what’s most useful to you. Whether you read it in one go or dip in and out, it’s the kind of magazine you come back to when you’re thinking about your next steps.
