Like The Wind

Like The Wind #32

Like The Wind is a quarterly magazine made by runners for runners, sharing stories and experiences from around the world.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Issue 32 travels the world through running, from Greek mountain trails to the desert roads of the American West. We kept coming back to a feature on the Prolyfyck Run Crew in Charlottesville, Virginia, who have built a welcoming space where every runner feels seen and supported. If you love an extreme challenge, you might enjoy following the runners taking on The Speed Project Solo, a gruelling 340 miles from Venice Beach to Las Vegas. There’s also a piece from author Gavin Boyter, who follows in the footsteps of a childhood hero to a Scottish beach, that’s worth a look.

Who’s Like The Wind for?

Like The Wind takes a different approach to running, moving away from performance and focusing more on the reasons behind it. This would suit you if you’re interested in the culture, history and wider conversations around running. There’s a real sense of community throughout, with original artwork, photography and contributions from runners themselves. It’s one to pick up when you want to slow things down and think about running in a different way.
