Like The Wind is a quarterly magazine made by runners for runners, sharing stories and experiences from around the world.
What grabbed us about this issue…
Issue 45 looks at running through a hopeful lens, celebrating the joy and community of the sport while facing up to how climate change is affecting runners worldwide. We kept coming back to Zoë Rom’s long read on finding hope rather than despair, which feels as relevant off the trail as on it. For something lighter, you might enjoy joining a team of 12 runners all named Olivia at the Hood to Coast Relay. There’s also the gloriously silly donut mile that’s worth a look if you like your running with a side of fun.
Who’s Like The Wind for?
Like The Wind takes a different approach to running, moving away from performance and focusing more on the reasons behind it. This would suit you if you’re interested in the culture, history and wider conversations around running. There’s a real sense of community throughout, with original artwork, photography and contributions from runners themselves. It’s one to pick up when you want to slow things down and think about running in a different way.
