Bother Issue 4

Bother mag is a treat. Rooted firmly in West Yorkshire, but not afraid to venture further afield (this issue takes us as far as Tokyo and a tour of its jazz joints), it is a celebration of taking the slow and winding route.

Founded by the two brains behind HebTroCo, a rather wonderful clothing brand based in Hedben Bridge, Yorkshire, as they say:

“We thought launching a print magazine would be the (second) most stupid idea we ever had. Turns out the antidote to the algorithm was just what the doctor ordered.”

This issue take us on a trip up a local peak, stopping to chat top the people they find on the way, an inspiring tour of the works of a local artist who makes the most amazing works of art from old and rusting metal, the history behind the Peterloo massacre and attempts to unravel the mystery of Frank Sidebottom (you may need to look him up). Along the way we also get a healthy portion of growing and cooking, and a reminder why switching off your computer should be an essential part of your day.

Of course there’s a gentle plug for HebtroCo’s wares, and even a £20 voucher if you become tempted…
