Kinfolk

Kinfolk Issue 57

Kinfolk is a large format quarterly lifestyle journal from Denmark with an elegant design that blends features on home, work, style and culture.

What grabbed us about this issue...

Issue 57 explores what it really means to be a good friend, from the closeness it brings to the complications that come with it. We kept coming back to a conversation with psychotherapist Orna Guralnik, known from the TV series Couples Therapy, who sees friendship as one of the best expressions of being human. If you’re into art, you might enjoy meeting Ghanaian painter Amoako Boafo in Accra, who shares how his closest friendships shape his work. There’s also a conversation with novelist Ottessa Moshfegh that’s worth a look if you’re a fan of her sharp, unsettling fiction.

Who is Kinfolk for?

This would suit you if you’re drawn to Kinfolk’s take on slow living, with its focus on community, creativity and considered design. It leans towards a slower, more reflective read, bringing together interviews, longer essays and quietly styled photography. One for when you want something calm and intentional, with an emphasis on how people live and create in different parts of the world.
