Wyrd Science

Wyrd Science #7

Wyrd Scienceis a quarterly magazine with in-depth articles and interviews that discuss and review all types of tabletop games.

What grabbed us about this issue...

The new Sidequests section brings together books, art, film and music that overlap with the gaming world. We enjoyed the playful exhibition by French artist Jean Jullien, which reimagines the gallery as a kind of fantasy fortress. Elsewhere, creator Jonathan Rowe shares the thinking behind Through the Hedgerow, a role-playing game set in the English countryside, where players adventure through different time periods and are encouraged to shape their own.

Who is Wyrd Science for?

This would suit you if you’re interested in games, whether that’s role play games, war games or more traditional board game formats. It leans towards a longer, more considered read with background woven in to help you find your way if you’re newer to the subject. Alongside this, the review section contains shorter pieces if you've only got five minutes to spare.
