What grabbed us about this issue?
This issue has a focus on teaching, from the perspectives of the mentor and the mentee. We like "Career's Adviser", a realistic poem on the realities of choosing your path in life. There are also some more non-traditional poems in this issue which were fun to read. They play with shape and form to create pieces where the visuals speak as loud as the words.
Who is Poetry Wales for?
If you're somebody who already enjoys poetry, you'll love this magazine as it just feels like a book of poetry to get stuck into. Whether you've studied poetry or your just getting into it, what we love about this magazine is how accessible it is. The poems are not too difficult to understand and although there are a few essays in each issue, they each offer another way into understanding poetry whilst still leaving space to form your own understandings and connections to the words.
