What grabbed us about this issue?
With the title of this issue being "Restorying the World", Resurgence & Ecologist takes a closer look into the way we tell stories and how they help shape the world we live in. We enjoyed reading Sarah Wood's "Changing the Story" as an entry point into this theme as she dissects the classic "hero's journey" storyline and asks what kinds of stories we've been missing. Or for something a little different "Imagining with the More Than Human" by Elena Landinez takes a quieter approach, using poetry and illustration to think about what we owe to rivers and forests.

For those passionate about the environment and protecting nature, Resurgence & Ecologist is an educational and positive magazine. Although its writing has a very academic feel to it with a lot of essay style features, each piece is accompanied with an illustration that deepens the writing, instead of just decorating the page. It's one to reach for when you want to spend some quality time with a topic and work through it at your own pace.
