Sight And Sound

Sight & Sound June 2026

Sight and Sound is a long established, monthly magazine published by The British Film Institute.

What grabbed us about this issue...

The Marilyn Monroe cover feature sets aside the more controversial aspects of the actor's life to look at how she navigated the criticism and judgement of the film industry. The Designing Marilynpiece offers an enjoyable look at some of her most recognisable film costumes. Working from a basement in Toronto, two drum-and-bass artists are preserving celluloid film prints using a homemade scanner, so the original feel of the film can be enjoyed for years to come.

Who is Sight and Sound for?

If you’re looking to explore film across different genres, the longer pieces offer space to sit with each subject and form your own views. They tend to open things up rather than explain everything, so you can follow ideas further if something catches your interest.
