Dog is a culture and lifestyle magazine that uses the bond between people and their dogs as its editorial lens.
What grabbed us about this issue...
Issue 07 takes the Italian Greyhound as its theme and Sasha Velour makes for a fitting cover star. Her Italian Greyhound Vanya earns the front page. The conversation about her stage show Smoke & Mirrors, and what it says about gender and fluidity, is worth finding. We also enjoyed the walk with Eve. The Grammy-winning rapper’s French Bulldog Hendrix is five years old and clearly running the household. A celebration of all things Italian through photography and personal essays gives the issue a strong visual thread alongside the interviews.
Who’s Dog for?
Dog is one for when you want a culture magazine with an unusual editorial hook. Each issue uses a specific breed as its starting point, gathering creative voices from music, film and art around it. You can tell the interviews go somewhere beyond the usual profile format. This would suit you if you’re drawn to lifestyle magazines with a strong creative identity and a genuine sense of fun. Think of it as a celebrity interview magazine that happens to be about dogs, rather than the other way around. It’s one to reach for when you want something warm, well-made and a little unexpected.
