Enki Volume 48

Enki is a monthly design and architecture magazine with a focus on sustainability, showcasing modern designers and architects from around the world.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Volume 48 opens with Sydney’s floating cabin, rebuilt after fire with sustainability and original craftsmanship at its centre. We enjoyed how that constraint shaped every decision. The award-winning tiny home in Denmark is worth finding alongside it. Small-scale architecture done well is one of the harder briefs in the field. If you’re interested in retrofitting older properties, the low-energy Edwardian renovation in London gives the issue a more familiar starting point alongside the more ambitious projects.

Who’s Enkifor?

With its minimalist design and neutral colour palette,Enkiis one to reach for when you want to ease into the world of design and architecture. It’s better suited to those with an existing interest in modern design, particularly if you’re looking to bring elements of the seasons and natural materials into your home. Whether you flick through with a cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon or read it cover to cover, it’s one to pick up when you’re in the mood for something calm and considered.
