Published three times a year,Design Anthology UK explores art, design, architecture, travel and style with a global outlook.
What grabbed us about this issue…
Issue 18 opens in the wake of a strong season of European design events and channels that energy well. Henry Holland’s move from fashion into product design is the profile to find first. The transition is less obvious than it sounds and he’s an articulate guide through it. The Faroe Islands feature is worth seeking out too. The creative and culinary culture of Scandinavia’s quieter nation makes for a more considered travel piece than the region usually gets.
Who’s Design Anthology for?
Design Anthology is one to reach for when you want to spend a bit more time thinking about the design world. With technical case studies, subject-specific recommendations and inventive spaces, it’s not the easiest entry point, but offers a more in-depth look at contemporary design. You can tell care has gone into how it’s made, with thick matte pages that give it a more lasting feel. It’s the kind of magazine you pick up when you’re in the mood to be challenged and explore something new.
