Enki Volume 46
Enki is a monthly design and architecture magazine with a focus on sustainability, showcasing modern designers and architects from around the world.
What grabbed us about this issue…
Volume 46 has a strong thread of buildings that disappear into their surroundings. We enjoyed the beachfront property that opens directly onto the dunes. The boundary between inside and outside is doing a lot of quiet work there. If you’re interested in how prefabrication can still feel considered, the Douglas fir extension is worth finding. The almost completely hidden wellness spa in Mexico rounds things out with the most ambitious disappearing act of the issue.
Who’s Enki for?
With its minimalist design and neutral colour palette, Enki is one to reach for when you want to ease into the world of design and architecture. It’s better suited to those with an existing interest in modern design, particularly if you’re looking to bring elements of the seasons and natural materials into your home. Whether you flick through with a cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon or read it cover to cover, it’s one to pick up when you’re in the mood for something calm and considered.
