Enki Volume 56
Enki is a monthly design and architecture magazine with a focus on sustainability, showcasing modern designers and architects from around the world.
What grabbed us about this issue…
Volume 56 opens with a 200-year-old Italian farmhouse. We enjoyed how much patience a renovation of that scale demands and the feature gives it the space it deserves. The Sri Lanka eco retreat is also worth finding. A coastal project that takes its environmental responsibilities seriously without compromising on the experience is harder to pull off than it looks. If you’re planning a kitchen renovation, Cate St Hill’s newly renovated extension gives the kitchen and bathroom special a more personal register alongside the product edits.
Who’s Enki for?
With its minimalist design and neutral colour palette, Enki is one to reach for when you want to ease into the world of design and architecture. It’s better suited to those with an existing interest in modern design, particularly if you’re looking to bring elements of the seasons and natural materials into your home. Whether you flick through with a cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon or read it cover to cover, it’s one to pick up when you’re in the mood for something calm and considered.
