Enki Volume 61
Enki is a monthly design and architecture magazine with a focus on sustainability, showcasing modern designers and architects from around the world.
What grabbed us about this issue…
Volume 61 is the summer special and the off-grid island guest house in Canada sets the tone well. We enjoyed how a structure that generates its own power still manages to feel considered rather than compromised. If you’re interested in prefabrication done well, the lakeside dwelling in Australia is worth finding. The Feldspar founders Jeremy and Cath Brown are also worth seeking out. Their approach to craft and materials gives the interview section a different register alongside the architecture.
Who’s Enki for?
With its minimalist design and neutral colour palette, Enki is one to reach for when you want to ease into the world of design and architecture. It’s better suited to those with an existing interest in modern design, particularly if you’re looking to bring elements of the seasons and natural materials into your home. Whether you flick through with a cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon or read it cover to cover, it’s one to pick up when you’re in the mood for something calm and considered.
