What grabbed us about this issue...
Wallpaper*celebrates its 30th birthday with guest editors Es Devlin, Palace Skateboards and Carrie Mae Weems sharing their work. We were drawn to the intricate installations from stage designer Es Devlin, especially the piece outside Tate Modern in 2022. Sponsored by Cartier, it drew attention to London's endangered wildlife with pencil-drawn cut-outs mounted on a large illuminated dome (modelled on St Paul's Cathedral) and accompanied by recordings of the creatures' calls during the day, before a choir performed in the evenings inside the dome.
