A quick tour through the mags that dropped through the letterboxes of our Free Range subscribers in July.
We've got four different subscription streams and we send out a different mag to subscribers every two months with tasting notes to tell them all about the mag.
We only send out mags that we enjoy reading, mags that delight, inspire, move or challenge (and that look pretty good too), so you can guarantee a blooming good read below.
THE GOOD LIFE
In brief: Named for the German word for cheerful or joyful, Heiter is a beautiful lifestyle and wellbeing mag that inspires you to live and style your life in a way that feels good.
Why we chose it: The Good Life is all about taking pleasure in the small things so we found the concept of Heiter very appealing. A beautiful looking mag that feels gentle, warming and good for the soul.

THE BIG ADVENTURE
Oceanographic Issue 37In brief: Stories of the ocean, transporting you to some of the most enchanting and least understood places on the planet, celebrating wildlife and championing its conservation.

THE TOTALLY FREE RANGE
In brief: An eclectic mag "about people, places and the things they carry." The makers wanted to make a magazine for untold stories that you wouldn't normally find in mainstream media with reportage, photo stories, memoir and experiments in voice. Each issue starts with a theme and then shoots off in some fascinating directions.
Why we chose it: We really enjoyed the breadth of stories in their second issue, with one page taking you to communities in China still living by Maoist ideals and the next to a dinosaur hunter in a sleepy US town. Issue 3 is no different with a brilliant story of an island filled with acid-spitting ants, anti-colonial shipworms and boom and bust America.
