Tate Etc.

Tate Etc. Issue 53

The latest issue of the Tate Gallery's own magazine. Carefully curated to show the best of contemporary and historical arts from the Tate galleries across the UK.

In this autumn issue, they are celebrating the new Tate Britain exhibition Life Between Islands: Caribbean-British Art 50s - Now. The cover artwork is from Glasgow-based, Barbadian born artist, Alberta Whittle, called Celestial Meditations in which she explores ideas of past and present with humour and nuance.

Elsewhere, there's a look at William Hogarth and his European influences, the new Tate Modern installation by Anicka Yi and the hugely eclectic work of Lucy McKenzie at Tate Liverpool.
