Disegno

Disegno #31

Published quarterly, Disegno is an independent magazine dedicated to in-depth reporting on architecture, design and fashion.

What grabbed us about this issue...

Issue 31 has a strong thread of design and power running through it. OnlyFans and online puritanism makes for an unexpected design study. Approaching the platform through the lens of censorship gives the subject a precision most commentary misses. Gipsön is equally worth your time. Sweden’s secret radioactive phosphogypsum island sounds like fiction and reads like it too. MSCHF on consumerism and satire is the most self-aware moment in an already sharp issue.

Who’s Disegno for?

Disegno is one for when you want design writing that treats the subject as a political and cultural force. Each issue moves between architecture, fashion and design without privileging one field over another. The writing is long-form and independent. This would suit you if you’re already engaged with design culture and want criticism that keeps pace with that thinking. Think of it as a quarterly journal of design ideas rather than a showcase. It’s one to reach for when you want to feel properly inside the debate.
