Faire

Faire Issue 10

Created in France by Ruth Ribeaucourt, Faire introduces the stories of creative people from around the world, inviting us into their studios and homes.

What grabbed us about this issue.....

Issue 10 celebrates creativity across eleven artists and artisans from around the world. Jacques Bréjoux is the one to find first. Medieval paper-making and book restoration is a practice so specific it demands the long-form treatment Faire gives it. We also enjoyed the design house making 18th-century decorative prints and fabrics. The craftsmanship behind a single repeat pattern is more involved than most people realise.

Who is Faire  for?

If you are drawn to a creative life and like to take time with a leisurely read, Faire is worth a look. Each issue connects with artists, craftspeople, writers and photographers who describe their creative journeys, alongside generous photos often taken by founder Ruth. You can pick your favourites to enjoy one by one over a few days.
