Faire

Faire Issue 3

Created in France by Ruth Ribeaucourt, Faire introduces the stories of creative people from around the world, inviting us into their studios and homes.

What grabbed us about this issue.....

Issue 3 takes bravery and boldness in creative pursuits as its theme and Ruth Miller’s embroidery portraits set that bar immediately. We enjoyed how a practice that sounds traditional turns out to be anything but. If you’re interested in heritage craft, Feau Boiseries’ restoration work is worth seeking out. The precision required to restore historic boiserie panelling is a different kind of boldness to the artists around it and the issue gives both equal weight.

Who is Faire  for?

If you are drawn to a creative life and like to take time with a leisurely read, Faire is worth a look. Each issue connects with artists, craftspeople, writers and photographers who describe their creative journeys, alongside generous photos often taken by founder Ruth. You can pick your favourites to enjoy one by one over a few days.
