Command+i

Command+i: Scotland II

Command+iis a colour guide for designers, drawing palette combinations from photographs taken in locations across the natural world.

What grabbed us about this issue...

Scotland’s colourscape is the focus, with 24 new combinations taken from locations across the country. The cliffs of Dunnottar make for a different kind of palette than the Pentland Hills. Both are here. It’s the kind of thing that changes how you look at a landscape once you’ve spent time with it.

Who’s Command+ifor?

Command+iis one for when you want design inspiration rooted in something real. Each issue samples colours from photographs precisely, giving designers combinations that feel genuinely grounded. British printer Taylor Brothers produces it lithographically on fine paper. It has the feel of a studio reference rather than a periodical. This would suit you if you work in graphic design, interiors or fashion and want your reference material to double as an object worth keeping. Think of it as a colour library with a strong sense of place. It’s one to reach for when you want to look at familiar landscapes differently.
