Enki Volume 38

Enki is a monthly design and architecture magazine with a focus on sustainability, showcasing modern designers and architects from around the world.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Volume 38 is titled Find Tranquility and the house built around a heritage oak tree sets the tone well. We enjoyed how the decision to protect a single tree shapes every other design choice in the project. The Portuguese home that rises out of the dusty ground is worth finding alongside it. Buildings that borrow their palette from the ground beneath them rarely look like anything else. The floating laboratory designed to remove microplastics rounds things out with the most ambitious proposal in an issue that doesn’t shy away from them.

Who’s Enkifor?

With its minimalist design and neutral colour palette,Enkiis one to reach for when you want to ease into the world of design and architecture. It’s better suited to those with an existing interest in modern design, particularly if you’re looking to bring elements of the seasons and natural materials into your home. Whether you flick through with a cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon or read it cover to cover, it’s one to pick up when you’re in the mood for something calm and considered.
