Enki Volume 63

Enki is a monthly design and architecture magazine with a focus on sustainability, showcasing modern designers and architects from around the world.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Volume 63 opens with The Ranch Mine’s family home, which shifts with the seasons rather than sitting apart from them. We enjoyed the dual-purpose Canadian pavilion alongside it. A structure that physically expands and contracts as the year turns is an unusual design ambition. If you’re interested in building for extreme conditions, the chat with Icelandic studio ESJA on designing for remote locations is worth finding. They have more experience of that particular problem than most.

Who’s Enkifor?

With its minimalist design and neutral colour palette,Enkiis one to reach for when you want to ease into the world of design and architecture. It’s better suited to those with an existing interest in modern design, particularly if you’re looking to bring elements of the seasons and natural materials into your home. Whether you flick through with a cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon or read it cover to cover, it’s one to pick up when you’re in the mood for something calm and considered.
