Fare Issue 15: Naples

Published biannually, each issue of Farebrings a different city to life by exploring its culture through food, history and community.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Issue 15 takes Naples and earns every layer of it. Marianna Vitale’s frittata di maccheroni is the place to start. A Michelin-starred chef making her most beloved childhood dish in a seaside kitchen is the kind of story Fare tells better than anyone. We also enjoyed the visit to Atelier Inès. A late sculptor’s family villa transformed into an artist’s workshop and boutique hotel by his son and partner is a more generous act of inheritance than most. The kayak along the Posillipo coast rounds things out with the most beautifully melancholic detail in an issue full of them.

Who’s Fare for?

Fareis one for travellers who like to experience a city like a local. It feels more like an immersive travel experience than a magazine. Each issue features the work of local writers, photographers and illustrators to capture the sights, sounds, smells and creative spirit of each city. Printed on high-quality paper, it’s a great size to fit in your luggage. So whether you use it as a pocket-guide or inspiration, it’s worth keeping handy when you want to visit somewhere new.
