Design Anthology

Design Anthology UK Issue 08

Published three times a year,Design Anthology UK explores art, design, architecture, travel and style with a global outlook.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Issue 8 opens with Slovakia’s forgotten industrial heritage. It’s an unusual destination for a design magazine and the better for it. The essay on whether the arch has become a tired architectural motif is also worth seeking out. It’s a provocation that will change how you look at new buildings. Augustin Basso’s move from modelling into jewellery design rounds things out with a more personal story alongside the criticism.

Who’s Design Anthology for?

Design Anthology is one to reach for when you want to spend a bit more time thinking about the design world. With technical case studies, subject-specific recommendations and inventive spaces, it’s not the easiest entry point, but offers a more in-depth look at contemporary design. You can tell care has gone into how it’s made, with thick matte pages that give it a more lasting feel. It’s the kind of magazine you pick up when you’re in the mood to be challenged and explore something new.
